Preserve your teeth by coming in for routine dental exams.

On your initial visit, we will perform a comprehensive dental exam along with any necessary x-rays.

Examination of Diagnostic X-Rays

Dental x-rays are essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, bone loss and TMD problems. In addition, radiographs also help determine tooth and root positions. For children: we evaluate dental growth and ideal tooth and jaw development.
  

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer can often go undetected until late stages. During your regular hygiene visit, your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums will be examined for any signs of oral cancer.
 

Gum Disease Evaluation

Evaluating for gum disease is important to us. We will check and chart your gums, as well as the bone around your teeth, for any signs of periodontal disease.

Fixed Bridges

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth (or several teeth) by connecting and anchoring neighboring teeth or dental implants. 

​

The neighboring teeth, on either side of the empty space, are prepared as crowns to hold the bridge in place.
  

Crowns

A covering or "cap" that encases the entire tooth surface. It is specifically designed to restore the shape and size, strength, and improve the tooth's appearance.

A crown is recommended:

​

  • After root canal therapy (RCT)

  • Decayed, broken or cracked teeth

  • Large or fractured fillings

  • Cosmetic

​

We use only the finest, most durable, life-like porcelain and high noble metals available.  Our local dental laboratory is always ready to provide custom made restorations for all your dental needs.

Fillings

Dental restorative material used to restore the function and integrity of missing tooth structure due to decay or external trauma.

 

We offer both composite (white) and amalgam (silver) fillings.  The material used is determined by patient preference and which is best for function and esthetics.

Dental Veneers

Thin custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. They can reshape, resize or permanently whiten teeth.

There are little changes made to the tooth structure, therefore the strength of the tooth remains essentially the same.

Whitening

Process of removing stains or other discoloration from the tooth surface.

  • In-office whitening

  • Custom made take home trays with whitening gel.

Dental Implants

A titanium cylinder is placed to mimic the root of your tooth. Once your procedure is complete, Dr. Wiklund will design and create a crown to cover the titanium cylinder, giving the feel and appearance of a natural tooth
